Event Info

The 2021 Western National Event will be held on Monday, Nov 8th and Tuesday, Nov 9th.

  • We invite teams or individuals from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, or Montana to register and participate.  Registration is due by Oct 27, 2021.
  • The registration fee:
    • 5 team members + Advisor = $100
    • Individuals = $20

Award will include plaques, the silver belt buckle for the top hand and an array of prizes.

      • 5:00pm            Dinner (provided)
      • 6:00-6:30pm    Welcome and pick-up packets
      • 6:30pm            Stocking Rate and Management Recommendation (Part 1A)
      • 7:00pm            Current Rangeland Issue Scenario (Part 1B)
      • 7:30-9:00pm    CDE Training/Range Olympics (optional)
    • Tuesday, November 9th
      • 8:00am             Travel to event site
      • 9:00-11:30am   Plant Identification, Site Description, Rangeland Assessment,            Rangeland Ecosystem Measurements
      • 12:00pm           Catered Lunch (provided)
      • 1:00pm             Career presentations
      • 1:30pm             Awards
